Vehicle coatings terms, conditions and warranty information.
By booking with Vibrant Mobile Valeting or Vibrant Detailing you agree to the following terms and conditions:
For any/all Ceramic Coatings bookings, environmental factors are key in our ability to complete any work successfully. In instances where the customer does not have any permanent/fixed weather proof covering (eg. a garage or workshop), for during and after the application of any coating to the “vehicle”, then the environmental conditions must be as follows during the application of, and for a minimum of 1 hour after, any coating has been fully applied by us:
- An ambient air temperature of between 5°C and 40°C.
- Humidity levels of between 40% and 95%.
- No rain, snow, hale or other moisture.
- No part of the vehicle must come into contact with any moisture, whether naturally occurring or otherwise.
- No airborne contaminants present (eg dust, sand etc)
- No direct sunlight which can cause individual panel temperatures exceed 40°c.
If any of these natural environmental factors are not met on the date of the booking, we will have no choice but to re-arrange the booking to a more suitable date.
Once a minimum of 1 hour after our departure has surpassed, the initial sacrificial layer of our Ceramic coatings will have cured to a suitable level where normal use of the “vehicle” can be resumed by the customer.
It is imperative that the “vehicle” is not washed, and ANY coated surface does not come into contact with any chemicals typically used within the usual wash techniques to clean the “vehicle”, within the first 7 days. Where these conditions have not been met, any coating (including but not limited to the paintwork, glass, exterior trim and wheels) applied to the “vehicle” may fail, and would void any warranty implied or given from ourselves or any 3rd party warranty providers associated with the coating.
Where vehicles are normally stored by the customer under a weather proof and/or dust proof vehicle cover, the “vehicle” upon which any form of coating has been applied must remain uncovered for a minimum of 7 days after the application of a coating. Humidity and moisture levels within vehicle covers on most occasions fall outside of the necessary parameters required for the coating to cure successfully, and use of vehicle covers within the first 7 days may result in impediment of the curing process and/or failure of the coating either partially or in full. Any and all ceramic coatings supplied by us are required to cure naturally over the course of 7 days post application. Vehicles which are stored under any form of vehicle cover within the first 7 days post application would render any warranty implied or given with ourselves annd/or any 3rd party warranty providers void.
With any issues raised by the customer regarding a coating supplied and installed by us, where any issues with, and/or partial/total failure of, the coating has arisen as a result of actions that would render any warranty implied or given void, corrective maintenance to restore and/or replace the coating would be charged at full price to the customer, which would be determined upon our own inspection of the coating.
A full guide of warranty terms and customer expectations are provided to all customers whom purchase our Synergy Pro 3 year ceramic coating.
All ceramic coatings supplied by Vibrant Mobile Valeting and Vibrant Detailing are provided with a 12 month coating warranty with ourselves.
For Synergy Pro ceramic coatings, 3rd party warranty stipulations require a Synergy accredited installer to inspect the coating at month 12 and 24 post application. Upon inspection of the coating the installer may apply a topper to all surfaces already coated with Synergy Pro, and where the warranty terms have been adhered to for the duration of the previous 12 months since any installers last visit to the coated vehicle, the warranty period is extended for an additional 12 months upto a maximum of 36 months post application of the original Synergy Pro coating. The yearly inspections of the coatings are chargeable to the customer at the rates appropriate at the time of booking the inspection and are not included in the price of the initial coating application works. An estimated quote may be given upon request at the application stage of the coating, however numerous variables within the business and supply chain may cause fluctuations in this estimated quote in between initial application and inspections.
For any vehicle coating supplied and installed by us, the warranty terms implied or given by ourselves and/or 3rd party warranty providers are subject to the following terms and conditions:
- Vehicles should receive regular maintenance washes at least once every 2 weeks wherever possible, using the 2 bucket wash method.
- Any and all products used in relation to washing a coated vehicle must be pH neutral and non-caustic. Where vehicle maintenance is not carried out by the owner, it is the owners responsibility to ensure all products used by any 3rd party meet the warranty requirements.
- Whilst all our coatings are extremely chemical resistant, any acidic, alkaline and/or caustic products are specifically designed to aggressively clean all surfaces and remove any and all surface contaminants and protection and can cause damage to ANY coating and ANY surfaces to which they are protecting, therefore the use of these products on a vehicle coated by us, particularly TFR and/or acidic wheel cleaners, will render any warranty, given or implied by us or a 3rd party, void.
- Incorrect wash media used to maintain a coated vehicle may result in any warranty, given or implied, being rendered void (eg. use of a nylon wash brush) due to the damage these can cause to coated surfaces (micro scratches/heavy swirling/holograms etc). We recommend use of a microbes or chenille wash mitt using a 2 bucket wash method.
- Any use of automatic car washes would immediately render any warranty, given or implied, void.
- Any drive in hand car washes used for the cleaning of any coated surfaces of the vehicle would immediately render any warranty, given or implied, void (due to their use of sub standard and in most cases caustic products)
Full guidance on the correct and safe wash processes and for suitable wash media for all vehicles (coated or not) are available upon request. Most products on the market are pH Neutral and will be clearly labelled as such, and are available to purchase from numerous different suppliers and retailers, including ourselves.
Synergy Pro coating warranties are given or implied both by ourselves and by our supplier Infinity Wax, subject to the terms and conditions provided above.
We implore all our customers to contact us in the first instance for any help or guidance regarding any aspect of valeting and detailing their vehicles, and for any issues that may arise with a vehicle that we have worked on.
